The HD is plugged into the 6Gbps Marvell controller, and my DVD and the 2 hot-swap ports in my case are connected to the INTEL 3Gbps ports.ģ) I have a WD External 1.5TB drive connected to one of the eSATA ports on the I/O panel. Both of the SSD's are plugged into the INTEL 6Gbps ports on the MB. Once it beeps, it's smooth sailing from there, probably about another 10 seconds to be completely loaded into windows. From a cold start it takes about 30-40 seconds to hear the POST beep. I know the Intel drive isn't the fastest SSD in it's size range but it still seems pretty slow to me.
I've searched and found a few other threads on this forum about the same issue, but it doesn't look like a solution was ever found.Ģ) My POST time seems much slower than it should be considering my boot device is an SSD. I answer yes to all of them and nothing happens.
Both of these will start to install and Windows will pop up the usual "Do you wish to run this program" box. I've tried both the CD included with the motherboard and the most recent download available on the Maximus IV Extreme-Z page at the ASUS website. I recently put together a new machine (see specs in my sig) and I'm having a few issues with it that I'd like to get solved.ġ) ASUS AI Suite II will not install.
